Acting Interior Minister Amarullah Saleh has barred the interior ministry officials from giving viewpoint about peace and foreign politics of Afghanistan to media.

The newly appointed acting interior ministry imposed some limitations on the officials of the ministry on Sunday (December 30).

"Possible talks with the enemy is the example of the clear politics of the president of Afghanistan. If God is willing, it would result in peace and stability. The responsibilities of interior ministry and police are known."

"So giving viewpoints, comments and analysis on peace with the enemy should be avoided," a press release issued by the interior ministry stated.

"All the interior ministry officials and police are directed to avoid giving viewpoint in media about the foreign politics of Afghanistan. Sharing personal viewpoint on foreign politics of Afghanistan is not the authority of interior ministry officials," the press release said.

No or pictures videos would be made during the interior ministry gatherings, particularly the meetings of the minister with ambassadors, political leaders and tribal elders," the press release added.

According to the press release, the ban on taking pictures is applicable to all the officials of interior ministry from minister to a cop.

Earlier, the interior ministry officials and police wearing formal uniforms had been barred from ceremonies and gatherings of foreign embassies and sharing pictures taken in uniforms on social media.

Also, The IEC on Sunday (December 30) formally announced that the presidential election has been delayed for three months due to some issues.
